Moin,
jeder hat hier wahrscheinlich schon mal base64 codierte mails erhalten, die ungefähr so aussehen:

Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

Diese mails lassen sich mit dem Kommandozeilentool "base64.exe" decodieren.
Das Tool gibt es für Windoofs und unixoide Systeme unter http://www.fourmilab.ch/webtools/base64/, dort findet sich auch die gute Beschreibung.
