Hallo liebes Forum,

ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen.
Meine Eltern haben ein kleines Restaurant und wir haben vor ein paar Tagen eine mail von einem Engländer bekommen:


Good Morning,
I am Alan Stone and want to book dinner for our guest coming for a wedding ceremony from south Africa in your Restaurant. Please confirm these reservation in your Facility. Details of the Reservation : Date:26th,
27th,28th,29th,30th,31st of Nov 2008. No of person:6 person Arrival times:6:30 PM each day.Please confirm if you have the availability and provide me with the charges for 6 people in 6days,
Then we will make an advance payment to hold the booking.
I await your swift response.

Daraufhin haben wir daraufhingewiesen, dass es keinen 31. Nov gibt und wir gerne eine Vorabzahlung hätten wie angeboten und ob 25 Euro pro Person und Tag okay für ihn sind. Daraufhin kam das hier.

So once you are in receipt of the cheque you are required to cash the cheque,then deduct the amount for your services including all bank charges/tax for receiving the amount to your account and send the balance to our logistic consultant.

Ich verstehe es leider nicht ganz, aber da stimmt doch irgendwas nicht oder?? Was will der da von uns, dass wir dem 8000 Euro zurückzahlen?

Kennt jemand ähnliche Mails?

Sieht für mich nach scam aus. Bestimmt sagen die kurzfristig ab und möchten dann ihr Geld per WU zurück, während sie die Überweisung rückbuchen lassen. Ich verschieb das mal in den 419er-Bereich, Sven Udo wird da mehr zu sagen können, denke ich..

Ganz sicher Scam!

Könnte sein, dass hier ein Muli zwischengeschaltet ist, um die Sache weniger verdächtig erscheinen zu lassen.

Was will der da von uns, dass wir dem 8000 Euro zurückzahlen?
Das ist so: Der Scheck über 9000 Euro, den Du erhalten sollst, ist gefälscht oder geklaut. Wenn Du ihn Deiner Bank einreichst, wird er unter Vorbehalt gutgeschrieben. Deshalb werden Deine "Geschäftspartner" darauf bestehen, dass Du die Überweisung von 8000 EUR ganz schnell vornimmst, bevor, die Betrügerei auffliegt und der Scheck storniert wird. Dein Schaden in diesem Fall: 9000 EUR + Bankspesen.

hui ... sowas hatte ich mir schon gedacht. is ja auch wirklich sehr merkwürdig gewesen.
aber was schreib ich dem jetzt, damit der uns in ruhe lässt und hab ich jetzt schon eine fehler gemacht indem ich auf die erste mail schonmal geantwortet und die reservierung bestätigt habe?

Ich würde dem nichts mehr schreiben und sämtliche Mails in Zukunft einfach direkt entsorgen..
