Dear Friend,

I send you this letter from a library of our small city and I pray that this letter reached your address.
My name is Valentin, I`m student and I live with my blind mother in Russia. I work very hard every day to be able take care of my mother, but my salary is very small because my studies are not finished.

Due to the crisis our authorities recently stoped gas in our district. Now we cannot heat our home because we don`t have gas anymore. I don`t know what to do, because the winter is coming and the temperature outside can be lower than minus 20 degrees Celsius. I`m afraID: [ID filtered]

Therefore I send you this desperate message with a prayer in my heart and I hope you can help us. If you have any old warm clothes, warm blankets, sleeping bag, electric heater or portable stove, high-calories food, vitamins, medicaments against cold, I will be very grateful to you if you could send it to our postal address which is:

Valentin Mihailin,
Ryleeva Street, 6-45,
Kaluga. 248030,
Russia.

If you think that it would be better or easier for you to help with some money, please write me back and I will give you details for sending it safely if you agree. This way to help is very good because the necessities here are not very expensive.

I pray to hear from you soon. From all my heart I wish you Happiness, Love and Peace.
God Bless You,

Valentin and my Mother Elena.
Kaluga. Russia.

Dear Valentin,

believe me, I feel with you. It must be a mess to live in Kaluga, Russia with small money and your mother handicaped. And this damned fucking authorities, that stopped gas supply in your district. Must be horrible! I feel cold just from only reading this. Do you think it is possible to make some revolution as good old leader Lenin did?

Thanks to God you have electricity, otherwise the electric water-boilers all readers of your message will send you for sure will not work. I'm sorry, but my own one works with gas only, and as you told me you haven't .... Do you know, why Gazprom sell this gas from russia to us, while you have not enough for your own consumption? You really should think about revolution!

I believe the best is I send you some money as you suggested. So please give me the details for the transfer as soon as possible. You still have my e-mail adress?

Greetings and my wishes to you and your mother Elena.

Michael from Hamburg, Germany

PS: I just see that you must be a luckky guy, because your mail was sent by ISP Belgacom in Brussels. That's a nice city with good people, and I think they will supply you with gas and other goods as much as you want. So I feel it is not necessary to help you. Bye Michael

Our situation is very bad and it becomes worse every day. We prepare now everything for the coming winter.

We pray that this winter will not be so cold as the last winter when the temperature sometimes was as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius.

Dear Friend,

Please excuse me for any inconvience caused by this message.

My name is Valentin. I'm student and I live with my mother in city Kaluga, Russia. My mother is invalid. She can not see and she receive very small pension very rare which is not enough even for medications.

I work very hard every day to be able to buy the necessities for my mother, but my salary is very small, because my studies still not finished.

Due to deep crisis authorities stoped gas in our district and we cannot heat our home anymore. I don't know what to do, because the winter is coming and the temperature outside will be lower than minus 30 degrees Celsius, as it was in the last winter.

I am very afraID: [ID filtered]

If you have any old sleeping bag, warm blanket, portable stove, warm clothes, electric water-boiler, canned and dried food, vitamins, medicines from cold, any hygiene-products, I will be very grateful to you if you could send it to our address which is:

Valentin Mikhailine,
Rileewa Uliza, 6-45.
Kaluga. 248030,
Russia.

If you think that it would be better or easier for you to help with some money, please write me back and I will give you details for sending it safely if you agree. This way to help is very good because in this case I will be able to buy a portable stove and heat our home during the winter.

I hope to hear from you very soon and I pray that you can help us. I also hope very much that this hard situation will get better very soon in our country.

I send you many thanks in advance for your kind understanding. Please excuse me, once more, for inconvience caused by this message.

Valentin and my mother Elena.
Kaluga. Russia.
