Leider setzt bei einigen Leuten danach der Verstand aus, und sie fragen sich überhaupt nicht, warum der Chef der nigerianischen Zentralbank Zahlungen ausschließlich per Western Union akzeptiert...

Das ist vermutlich Autoresponse-Backscatter, d.h. der Mensch hat während seiner Abwesenheit Spam-Mail bekommen wobei der Spammer deine Adresse als angeblichen Absender verwendet hat. Die Abwesenheitsmeldung landet dann bei dir.
Ist etwas ungewöhnlich, kommt aber vor.
