Ich folgte einem Link, der in einer Spam-eMail (siehe unten) angegeben wurde und bekam folgenden Text zu lesen:

Es kann sein, dass es nocht nur dreist ist, sondern auch verbrecherisch:
Die Webseite, auf die ich gelangte, weil ich dem OPT-OUT-LINK folgte, war so konzipiert, dass Du alle Deine persönlichen Daten angeben solltest (Name, Vorname ...Kontonummer??!!). Damit haben die Betreiber die besten Aussichten, Deine Daten weiterverkaufen zu können. Sie haben mit Sicherheit eine real existierende Person gefunden und können es durch die Überweisung beweisen - besser geht es wohl nicht .
Verdammt, die Spammer und ihre Verbündeten werden immer dreister. Was tun??

Nun, wenn man auf Google danach sucht, gibt es viele "Press Releases" (z.B. auf yahoo news)
Nur wenn man etwas nachdenkt ist das Geschäftsmodell sehr sehr zweifelhaft:
a) müsste die Firma die Spammer kennen
b) diese merkwürdige "encrypted" List
c) glaube ich nicht, dass es etwas bewirkt, dass diese Firma den Spammern signalisiert: "Bitte, Bitte seit brav und
bespamt diese Mailadresse nicht mehr ... die haben gezahlt: Sitz - Platz!"
Dazu müsste diese Firma logischerweise die Spammer wie in a) kennen.
Merkwürdiges dubioses Geschäftsmodell - viel Pressewirbel ...

Interessant ist die Verbindung auf http://www.nospam.com/

das führt uns zur IP 204.228.229.178 WestNet, Inc.
sehr interessant und dubios.
Ohne hier Verschwöhrungstheorien (*argh*) aufstellen zu wollen.
Das hier ist Abzocke und das wird nicht die einzige im AntiSpam Universum bleiben.
Die Nutzer haben "die Schnauze voll" also, warum nicht Geld damit verdienen ?
Interessant ist nur, dass die in der USA gemeldet sind ... warum nicht 5$ investieren und dann verklagen
wenn noch eine Spam E-Mail ankommt ;)

Update - habe mich im US IRC (undernet) "umgehöhrt" - Ist scheinbar wirlich sehr unseriös und dient als Addressensammler - also Vorsicht !

Genau. Die wollen dafür Geld haben, dass ihr euch in deren Liste eintragen dürft, welche natürlich bis zum erbrechen zum Spammen genutzt wird.
Wer darauf reinfällt und die tatsächlich bezahlt dürfte sich ideal zum Spammen eigenen. Der zahlt scheinbar für jeden S....

In der letzten Woche bekam ich haufenweise Spam-eMails mit
dem einem Link auf "Stop Mailing", der zu der mich zu der Website
http://www.GlobalRemoval.com/SafeRemoval/remove.asp
führte und mir drohte:

Hier eine der Spam-eMails, die am Ende eine OPT-OUT-Funktion (?) haben und
die dann zu <font color="#FF8000"> GlobalRemoval.com </font> führen.
